Aluminum alloy used for roofing and wall systems.
The curtain wall and roofing systems mainly use 3000 series aluminum-manganese (aluminum-manganese-magnesium) alloys, while 5000 series aluminum-magnesium alloys are gradually being applied to curtain wall panels. Based on different processing methods, the elongation, hardness, tensile strength, and yield strength of 3000 series aluminum-manganese alloys are very suitable for the processing of roofing edge rolling and rolling equipment, thus widely used in roofing, wall systems, and other building exterior maintenance projects, and combined with various painting systems and coating processes, making the building appearance rich and colorful, while also increasing the corrosion resistance of the aluminum alloy itself.
The main aluminum alloy used in building covering systems is the 3000 series 'aluminum-magnesium-manganese alloy', among which alloys 3003, 3004, 3005, 3103, and 3105 are widely used. This is because the manganese content in aluminum-magnesium-manganese alloys stabilizes near its saturation point, and under the joint action of other metals, 3000 series aluminum alloys have appropriate elongation, good corrosion resistance, good processing performance, and can be smelted into alloys of different hardness according to different application requirements.
Classification of aluminum plates.
Aluminum alloy plates can be divided into non-painted products and painted applications, classified as follows:
a. Non-painted products: Stucco hammered aluminum plates (irregular patterns), embossed plates (regular patterns); anodized pre-passivated aluminum surface treatment plates. These products do not undergo painting treatment on the surface, have low appearance requirements, and are also relatively inexpensive.
b. Painted products:
Divided by coating process: spray-coated plate products (spray coat) and pre-rolled coated plates (coil coat);
Divided by paint type: polyester, polyurethane, polyamide, modified silicone, epoxy, fluorocarbon (PVDF), etc.
These products require surface cleaning treatment for aluminum alloy plates, followed by the application of colorless or colored primer and topcoat on the aluminum plate surface, which is then cured by high-temperature baking (two coats one bake, three coats two bakes, three coats three bakes), resulting in plates with various colors. Among the various coatings available for building aluminum alloy materials, the main performance difference is the resistance to ultraviolet rays from sunlight. All the above painting systems are formed by mixing organic plastics, solvents, color masterbatches, etc., according to formulas, and will gradually age under sunlight and various climatic conditions, showing signs of fading, powdering, cracking, and peeling. The most commonly used coating on the front side is fluorocarbon paint (PVDF), which currently has strong resistance to ultraviolet rays; the back side can choose polyester or epoxy resin coatings as protective paint or remain untreated. Additionally, a removable protective film can be applied to the front side.
Vertical lock edge 65-320-400-420-500 introduces advanced international design concepts, with materials generally selected from aluminum-magnesium-manganese alloys. Its specific gravity is 1/3 of that of color steel, but its service life can exceed three times that of color steel. Due to the soft and malleable panel type, roofing panels use aluminum-magnesium-manganese alloys of grades 3003/3004; this greatly meets design requirements, thus this system is widely used in buildings such as airports, sports venues, theaters, etc. According to customer needs, other specifications can be selected: vertical single lock 65-320-400-420-500; vertical double lock 25-430-530.

YX65-320-400-420-500 standing seam roof panels are usually made of AA3004 aluminum-magnesium-manganese alloy.
2) Material hardness is formed by rolling aluminum-magnesium-manganese alloy plates of grade 4 or 6.
3) The standard thickness of aluminum-magnesium-manganese alloy plates is 0.7mm to 1.2mm, with 0.9mm typically selected under normal circumstances.
4) Surface treatment: Before leaving the factory, the aluminum-magnesium-manganese alloy coils undergo a pre-roller coating treatment with fluorocarbon paint. After two coatings and two baking processes, the paint film thickness can be guaranteed to be above 22-25um. The color of the paint can be adjusted according to design needs.
b) Original color hammer pattern.
Before leaving the factory, the aluminum-magnesium-manganese alloy coils are processed with a hammer pattern, creating a texture similar to orange peel on the surface of the alloy.
